Grand Junction will be hosting National Arbor Day Festival April 24th at Lincoln Park with a chili and salsa competition, music, microbrews, food and "touch a truck".  Free seedling trees will be given to all festival attendees by the forestry service.  Suncrst Orchard Alpacas will be there with Klondike, Bounty, Salem, and Vinney as well as have an array of GO GREEN alpaca products for sale.    Hope to see you there!

May 1 & 2,  2010 Suncrest Orchard Alpacas will be shearing alpacas and harvesting the fiber of over 50 animals from 3 local farms.   We will also be skirting the fiber and preparing it for processing into yarn, which will be done at a later date.  This day will be an open farm day to the public to observe the process, however, because of the number of animals we will be shearing,  we will not be giving tours of the mill.   This is an exciting time on the farm!  Hope to see you there!

Palisade's 2nd annual Bluegrass and Roots festival will be held June 11-13,  2010 at Riverbend Park in Palisade.  It will be a weekend of good food and great music!  Suncrest Orchard will be  there with a variety of alpaca products and provide felting demonstrations throughout the weekend.  Hope to see you there.

 8/20/2010-8/21/2010  Palisade will be hosting the annual Peach Festival with an ice cream social, street dance, parade, vendor booths and all the peaches you can eat.    Suncrest Orchard Alpacas will present it's first Fiber Frenzy with spinning and weaving demonstrations, felting workshops and a stomp rug hoedown!  Alpaca crafted items and apparel will also be available to purchase.

September 27th and 28th from  9:30-4:00  SunCrest Orchard Alpacas will be celebrating National Alpaca Farm Day with open farm tours, fiber and felting demonstrations, refreshments and  an opportunity to beat the Christmas rush shopping the farm store.   Free to the public.  Join us for some alpaca packed family fun!
